Elements of Design Poster

[concept] This poster aims to capture the essence of night and discovery by emphasising a holistic visual connection. I was much inspired by my own photographic experience as I walked through my neighbourhood on breezy nights and I wanted to evoke that same feeling of tranquillity and wander. The design uses an experimental grid and asymmetric layout which is reminiscent of the abstracted route I took. My photographs have also been edited to capture the stark contrast of black and white to highlight the light which led my path. I also included numbered labels to invite interactive exploration and applied Gestalt principles of closure to create overall unity within the pattern.
